Small marketing websites - Microsites

A microsite is a small website which operates in support of your main corporate website, and is usually used for the promotion of a particular product or service. It will mostly likely run on its own domain, separate from the main site (eg. www.yournewproduct.com), and can be launched with a splash to coincide with a product launch or service announcement.

The microsite, if well designed and thought out, can be a fantastic marketing tool, allowing customers to easily find all the information on a particular subject, and allowing the business the opportunity to target their search engine optimisation and pay per click activity. And as you can separately track traffic to the microsite and leads generated by it, it allows you to accurately guage interest.
