Senior Front End Designer & Developer - NO AGENCIES PLEASE

Skills Required:

• Expert knowledge of using latest techniques to code usable cross-browser and cross-platform websites
• Daily experience of making magic with HMTL, CSS, jQuery etc
• Excellent knowledge of using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Illustrator etc to produce visuals with flair
• A good knowledge of current web development trends, techniques and best practices
• A good understanding of user experience and wireframe design
• Speed, accuracy and excellent attention to detail

We are looking for a talented Senior Web Designer with a proven track record in producing outstanding digital content. You’ll be working with a team of skilled web and PHP developers to produce the highest standard websites and web applications, online content, social media campaigns, branding and artwork for a variety of clients, mainly in the B2B sector. We’re a busy agency so you’ll be comfortable working to tight deadlines in a busy environment.

As well as the design side of things, you’ll be expertly coding up your designs into working web pages for multiple platforms with responsive design and an eye for excellent UX. You’ll be comfortable working with and customising JavaScript frameworks, integrating with MVC PHP web applications and optimising for page speed, accessibility and SEO.

While your focus will be on our creative output, we’re a small team so you’ll be involved in all the other stuff that goes with working in an agency – supporting the rest of the team, liaising with clients, managing your time, tea rounds and generally helping out. Freshleaf  Media Ltd is a website design and development company based in Wimborne, Dorset with a 15 year trading heritage and a client-base that includes some of the world’s most innovative technology companies. We are currently seeking an experienced PHP developer to join our dynamic and friendly team where you will have the opportunity to further your skills.

Previous hands-on development and design experience is essential with an in-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX . As a PHP developer a thorough understanding of modern coding conventions such as OOP, MVC and other frameworks is expected and proven ability to build bespoke applications from start to finish.  You will be writing well structured, reusable, modular, annotated code and implementing open source or prewritten products and source code libraries. Projects will be carried out to a high specification with consideration given to security, performance and cross-platform reliability. Experience in developing mobile applications would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining monthly maintenance budgets, alongside one-off development projects, which will require accurate timescales to manage workload accordingly. Also the candidate will work with a team, individually and with clients so good communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients is essential.

We are offering £20,000 - £23,000 (depending on skills and experience).
